The winter in Davos is a paradise for people who love to go skiing, snowboarding or cross country skiing. The highest and snow guaranteed slopes are the Jakobshorn and the Parsenn ski areas, you find family ski areas at the mountains Pischa, Madrisa or Rinerhorn or visit Europe’s first ski area Schatzalp (the Strela area). In and around Davos and Klosters you will find numerous well-located free trails for cross country skiing. The FIS world cup trails and an illuminated night trail are available as well. Enjoy yourself while ice skating on the largest natural ice rink in Europe, this rink can also be used for ice hockey and curling. Or just leave all the hurly burly behind during a snowshoe hiking tour in the winter landscape of Davos and his beautiful valleys.

The Top Secret team has teachers for ski and snowboard as well as teachers for Nordic Cruising or classic cross country skiing for you. It doesn’t matter if it is for the first steps as a beginner or to perfect your technique as an intermediate. Practice will get you further. Some people like to follow a course in a group and some people prefer to have a private course where the teacher is only focuses on your personal technique. Also for children who start as a ski or snowboard beginner the teachers are ready to teach them. The large rental shop provides all kinds of material for skier and snowboarder.

Eau-là-là Davos

Romantic carriage rides
You hear panting horses, the carriages wheels clattering and the Alpine landscape in one of the side valleys of Davos passes by your carriage. A ride in a horse drawn carriage in Davos and its area is a magnificent experience.
The horse rider leads the carriage along the mountain streams and the white surrounding.
You can select an individual tour at your choice or you leave the choice up to the carriage driver. If it snows or the sun shines too much, all carriages are equipped with a roof. Also in the evening, you can hire the horse-drawn carriages it is a safe coach tour in the romantic dark.

Schatzalp snow adventure
You will reach the Swiss ski area Schatzalp/Strela by train in just 4 minutes from the middle of the centre of Davos Platz. The ski area Schatzalp-Strela was closed for seven years. Now the lifts are running again – with the stolidity of former years. Especially slow skiers and kids feel comfortable at the Schatzalp-Strela mountain: calm instead of Razzle-dazzle – winter as it was a long time ago.

Curling
Curling is a sport which is very popular in Switzerland. Similar to Bavarian curling or bocce, a sport in which players sliding stones on a sheet of ice towards a target area which is segmented into four concentric circles.Curling the granite stone over polished ice into the house is an art in itself, and is enjoying increasing popularity. Curling explained in brief: The teams attempt to play the stones as close as possible to the "house" in 6, 8 or 10 rounds. One point is awarded for every stone that lies closer to the "house" than the opponent's stones.Would you like to try to play curling? Davos offers you the possibility to try a course for beginners. Kirchner Museum
Would you like to use your winter vacation to explore some culture? Visit the unique Kirchner-Museum in Davos.
The Kirchner Museum Davos offers visitors the remarkable experience of viewing the art of Ernst Ludwig Kirchner in the place where it was created. The exhibition shows you an extensive collection of works by Ernst Ludwig Kirchner. Ernst Ludwig Kirchner (1880–1938) lived in Davos from 1918 until his death in 1938. Davos and its surroundings inspired him to a large number of important works.
The Ernst Ludwig Kirchner Museum from 1992 is architecturally interesting and has to be perfect distributed daylight inside the museum building the museum already received prices for his architecturally building. The museum also houses a large archive of Kirchner with sketches and many documents and his artist's life.

Tandem Paragliding with Joyride Paragliding Davos

Your flight begins at the Joyride Paragliding booking office directly at the Jakobshorn cable railway station, this is a 5 minutes walk away from the Clubhotel. Here you will meet your private tandem paragliding pilot. While going to the take off with the cable car, you will have enough time to learn everything about paragliding and to get in the perfect mood for your first flight. After setting up the glider it’s time for the countdown. 3,2,1 and go, a few steps jogging and you will be airborne together with your pilot.
The landing is also near the meeting point. You won’t need skis for flying. You can deposit your skis etc. safely in our office.

Rhaetian Railway
Also in winter we can recommend a ride with the Rhaetian Railway, all rides are worth it. While the train drives through the Swiss Alps over impressive viaducts, your gaze will fall on snow-covered landscapes. The Matterhorn is white, the trees have ice-covered peaks - a winter panorama view as in a novel! If you book your holiday here in Davos, the routes through landscape with the Glacier Express or the Bernina Express are a good possibilities for a trip. The Bernina Express rides also in the cold winter days the highest existing line through the Alps- a part of the Alpine rail line belongs to the UNESCO world heriatage. On your way over the "Berninapass" you will get an impressive view of the glacier and wintry mountain world of Pitz Palü.

Davos Monstein
Who wants to make a special ski tour, should start at the village Monstein located above Davos at 1620 meters above sea level. The Walser village with typical farmhouses has its own character. Visit one of the two restaurants of Monstein after a snowy tour and enjoy there Grisons specialties such as Capuns and drink one of the specialties of the Monstein brewery - an "Monsteiner beer". This beer is brewed in Monstein, one of the highest located beer breweries of Europe.

Horse riding
You can learn horseback riding or practice your riding skills during your holiday in the unique nature on the riverbanks of the river Landquart in Klosters Dorf. In a small but nice riding environment there are riding lessons for children, adolescents and adults available. Beginners are first out on the lunge, advanced perfect their training by riding in the beautiful landscape of Klosters Mountains or the surrounding forest. The riding lessons are available as group lessons or individual lessons. If you are already an advanced rider, you can follow show jumping lessons, learn dressage or try vaulting. The St. Moritz observatory hosts public astronomical lectures and observation evenings throughout the year. When you are interested in astronomy, Academia Engiadina Samedan is the place to visit. Toboggan Preda – Bergün
Just arriving here by train is already an adventure as you cross the 90 metre-high Solis and Landwasser viaduct and travel through the twisting tunnels of the Albula valley. Then, in Preda, even wilder curves await the intrepid tobogganer! The winding run finishes 6 kilometres later in Bergün after dropping 400 metres in altitude. Here, the Rhaetian Railway will be waiting to take you back to Preda if you would like to go for another run. More adventurous sledgers can take the chairlift to Darlux, from where the hardcore trail descends to Bergün.
